Rubi

Rubi is originally a Mexican telenovela made back in 2004 starring actress Barbara Mori (who interestingly enough is part Japanese). Rubi rated high not only in Latin America, but in countries like Malaysia, Israel, and the Philippines.

ABS-CBN in the Philippines bought the franchise and decided to make a Philippine version of Rubi starring Angelica Panganiban as the “Bidang Kontrabida”.  Rubi started airing this month and you can catch it on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida time slot.
