Witches Of Vanity

“Magic. Dark. Femine. Unforgiving. Not to be forgiven. Witches have been streotyped and burned alive. The age of witch-hunting spanned more than four centuries (from the 14th to the 17th century) in its sweep from Germany to England. It was born in feudalism and lasted—gaining in virulence—well into the “age of reason.” The witch-craze took different forms at different times and places, but never lost its essential character. The witch-hunts left a lasting effect: An aspect of the female has ever since been associated with the witch, and an aura of contamination has remained. It was to become a theme of our history. Jar Concengco (www.campfiremedia.net) takes out his lenses and shoots the “witches” in his life.

No brooms – just vanity.

Here’s an excerpt from Jojo Pangilinan’s article in Manila Bulletin:

“I want to be known for what I can do and not as the son of my father,” he told Manila Bulletin Online and other members of the press at a recent interview.

“And what I want is to be part of a movement that shows Filipino rap music is as good as those that come from the west.”

This, JV demonstrates via his debut album, “Ready Or Not.” Produced by Doin’ It Big Production and distributed by PolyEast Records, it has 15 tracks that Young JV says, sparkle with quality production.”

Ready Or Not is produced by Doin’ It Big Production and distributed by PolyEast Records. Part of the Ready Or Not album sales will be donated to the education of children whose soldier fathers perished in Mindanao.
